PAYROLL MANAGER

Position:  Payroll Manager 

Pay:  $67,000 - $85,000 / yearly  Depending on experience

The Payroll Manager assumes responsibility for preparation of payroll and various other accounting functions. This position monitors banking account balances as well as solving misunderstandings that may arise with employees regarding payroll. Prepares Payroll for all locations on a bi-weekly basis. Responsible for maintaining payroll data for the purpose of processing BI-weekly payroll and record keeping according to Federal and State regulations. Assists the VP of Finance with various accounting functions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

Responsibilities
  1. Utilizes EMR software to collect information regarding employee work time and mileage. Ensures data is complete and accurate whether input via PointCare, manual entry or automation.  Utilizes EMR to export payroll data to payroll software.
  2. Reviews and inputs payroll information into payroll software. Finalizes payroll and reviews reports to ensure accuracy. 
  3. Supervises payroll staff who assist in payroll. Responsible for hiring, supervising, training of payroll staff; as well as disciplinary action or dismissal, if needed.   
  4. Process timesheets / expense reports (both manual and electronic) accurately, recording all expenses paid. Retains payroll reports, timesheets (paper as well as electronic) in accordance with GAAP, policy and federal regulations.
  5. Accurately enters garnishments / 401K loans and sends appropriate paperwork to accounting. Answers questions and resolves issues for employees regarding payroll.
  6. Promotes customer service with timely call backs, listening and understanding, good communication and positive attitude.
  7. Assists VP of Finance in collecting information for various reports and statistics.
  8. Provide various reports and statistics in an accurate and timely manner.
  9. Researches information as needed for leadership team.
  10. Treats all material relating to job functions in a confidential manner. 
Qualifications

*  Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Accounting is preferred. Equivalent work experience may be substituted if it includes significant time working in a
        responsible position for a similar healthcare company.
*  Must be very familiar with an array of computer hardware and software packages. Knowledge of Excel spreadsheets, Word Processing and computer use is mandatory.
*  A minimum of three (3) years experience is required.
*  Overnight travel may be required.
*  Must be able to communicate articulately and comprehend written and verbal communications.
*  Must be able to function efficiently in a fast paced work environment.
